Most people accumulate a backlog of saved articles, stray observations, half-formed takes, and captured links - and then stare at a blank page when it's time to create. Flowriter by BASED closes that gap. It draws from your inbound saves, your meeting notes, your existing pages - anything in your Notion workspace - and applies pattern recognition to find the recurring themes across them (your Lenses). Then it surfaces the strongest Ideas worth developing and helps you take them all the way to a finished draft.

How It Works

Flowriter runs a structured session, starting with your Flow database, which you can use as a general inbox to capture any item. You also have the option to give Flowriter access to any page, meeting note, or database entry in your workspace you want to pull in, to include in the thinking and pattern recognition process. In a single session, it:

1. Ingests your material - from your Flow database, or captured on the spot from any page, meeting note, or database entry in your workspace (with direct user permission)
2. Clusters by Lens - surfaces recurring themes, tensions, and synthesis opportunities across your saves
3. Pitches Ideas - proposes specific, arguable angles, each with a core tension, a hook, and a format recommendation
4. Creates Idea records - logs approved Ideas to your Ideas database with structured briefs: title, core tension, angle, hook, format, and linked sources
5. Develops drafts - advances Ideas through a five-stage pipeline (Idea → Concept → Draft → Edit → Done), generating paste-ready Notion markdown at each stage

The Lens System

Lenses are the connective tissue of your thinking - recurring patterns that emerge across your captures over time. Flowriter's pattern recognition engine compares new saves against your existing Lenses, explains alignment, spots gaps, suggests merges, and surfaces convergences that make Ideas stronger. Over time, your Lens library becomes a map of how you actually think - not just what you saved last week.

Depth Calibration

Not every session needs the same level of output. Tell ~Flowriter how deep to go:

• Quick - Cluster items by Lens with a one-line synthesis per group. Fast orientation.
• Standard - Full Idea proposals with briefs. Default mode.
• Deep - Clusters + Ideas + full draft briefs + format recommendations for every approved Idea.

Context-Aware Behavior

Flowriter reads where you are and adapts:

• Flow page - Triage and synthesis mode
• Ideas page (or a specific Idea) - Development mode; assesses pipeline, proposes next steps
• Lenses page - Pattern recognition mode; finds new connections, suggests merges and splits
• Dashboard - Orientation mode; surfaces what needs attention and quick-start prompts

Trigger Shortcuts

• Process flow - full session on recent Flow items
• Process latest - same, defaults to last 7 days
• Draft [idea title] or Develop [idea title] - jump straight to drafting a named Idea
• Capture [page or URL] - pull any Notion page directly into Flow and queue it for analysis
• Paste a batch of content - treats pasted items as the ingest source
